TILS750 Maturity Test (0 cr)

The maturity test is an essay written in the student’s language of education for the master’s thesis. If a maturity test has been approved in the bachelor’s degree, the abstract of the master’s thesis, which shows the writer’s familiarity with the field, can be accepted as a maturity test. Both the content and the language of the maturity test are checked (the language is checked from the maturity test related to the master’s thesis, if it has not been checked before). The maturity test must be agreed with the thesis supervisor.

With the maturity test, a student

• demonstrates familiarity with the field of the thesis, and
• demonstrates proficiency in their language of education.
