Description
This course covers a wide variety of topics, ranging from theoretical models of computation to practical programming tools.
Learning outcomes
On this course, we will study what various subfields of computer
science look like, what their research focuses on, and what their most
prominent practical applications are. The goal of this course is not to
make you into an expert in any of these subfields, but rather to give
you an idea of the content of your future studies, and to subject you to
new ideas that you might not encounter anywhere else. On the side, this
course also offers you an excellent excuse to develop your learning
skills and to get to know your peers.
Description of prerequisites
This course does not have prerequisites. However, participants are
hoped to have basic computer skills and a healthy attitude towards work.
