Compulsory study unit in advance studies of social work.

Description

The course introduces the concepts of ecosocial transition, ecosocial approach, and their historical de- velopment and current discussions in social work. In addition, the course provides concrete applications [Text Wrapping Break]and tools on how to implement ecosocial work in different settings.

Learning outcomes

The student understands the links between sustainable development and environmental and econom- ic issues in social work and transgenerational, local and global responsibility. The student understands the importance of ecosocial transition in social work and the role and opportunities of social work in the tran- sition. The student recognizes different ways of implementing ecosocial work in social work environments.

Additional information

This study unit is a part  of  SOSNET on-line teaching given by Social work unit of JYU Jyväskylä  The students of Jyväskylä main campus enroll via SISU and the students of Kokkola's campus enroll via SOSNET. Do note that both teaching and essays and written assignments etc. are given only in English.
