Content
The basic approaches and concepts of mental health, psychologists’ work and orientation in questions concerning health and mental health; prevalence of mental disturbances; critical stages in life, crisis, and mental problems, the classification of mental disorders, health and mental health interventions, and the psychological expertise in health care.
Completion methods

Learning outcomes
Students will master the different approaches to and basic concepts of mental health and understand the theoretical basis of conceptualizing mental disorders. Furthermore, students will know the professional intervention methods (assessment, consultation and guidance, and psychotherapy) and master the basics of the profession and the different positions of a psychologist within health services.
