Developing as language learners, understanding young students studying foreign languages, and learning joyful, playful and creative ways for teaching languages.

Description

CONTENT:

· a range of creative activities promoting interaction through a foreign language

· foundational concepts in language education

· exploration of language education as a holistic phenomenon to promote aesthetically-rich environments for younger language students.

COMPETENCE:

· aesthetic as language learning is reconceived as a holistic experience,

· pedagogical with regard to different approaches that can be used to support language development

· interactional and diversity-related through the use of language in different settings with students of different ages

Learning outcomes

Upon completing of the course the student will be able to

· express themselves with greater ease and confidence in English.

· carefully reflect on different experiences of foreign or additional language learning

· consider what different kinds of aims and activities are appropriate in language education

· approach language education through the arts and other holistic approaches to promote joy, creativity and playfulness in language education
