MONS1015 Current Issues in Discourse Studies (5 cr)

This advanced course on critical discourse studies familiarizes students with cutting-edge ongoing research and recent theoretical and methodological developments in the field. Upon completion of the course, students will have acquired a better understanding of the current debates and topics in the field and will be able to reflect critically on ongoing research in the field of discourse studies and apply these insights in their own research.

After completing the course, the student will:

• have a better understanding of current debates and trending topics in critical discourse studies
• be able to reflect critically on ongoing research in critical discourse studies
• be able to apply insights from critical discourse studies in their own research.
