Description

Practical training in a work place approved by the department. One month of internship equals with five academic credit points.

Learning outcomes

The student

  • gets to know the practices of working life
  • is able to analyze and evaluate his/her working life skills
  • practices applying the content learned during the studies in practical work tasks or in solving scientific problems
  • networks and develops his/her working life connections
  • motivates to further develop his/her mathematical knowledge and skills

Additional information

At most five credit points can be included in the advanced studies in mathematics and the rest can be included in the elective studies. The practical working must be agreed in advance and a written report of 2-3 pages is written about the tasks in the training. No credits related to the traineeship are awarded for writing the thesis.

The course unit is not accepted in the advanced studies in mathematics in the subject teacher education or primary and subject teacher education.
