Description

Participation in practical work within the field of exercise physiology:

  • Placement application

  • Planning and goal-setting of the work placement

  • Independent familiarisation of working as an expert within a specific field 

  • Work placement oral and written report 

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of the course, the student:

  • is familiar with various roles as an expert within organisations in the public, private and tertiary sector

  • understands various aspects of advanced exercise physiology is as able to apply knowledge to various working environments

  • recognizes their own role within the expert community and can obtain new contacts that aid employment

  • gains experience and views of employment within their own field 

  • improves their interaction skills

  • can apply theoretical knowledge to solve problems in a practical setting

  • can work as a employee

Seminars (12 hours), independent work (80 hours) within an field-specific organization, business, research center, sports organization, hospital, test center, sports college or similar placement within Finland or abroad.
