Description

Educational or serious games and gamification have become an important tool to increase the engagement, learning productivity, and interaction in the learning process. In this course, you will learn the basics and implementation of gamification and serious games based on your needs. And you will have a chance to design your own educational game and the facilitation of any educational games.

4. Case studies: analyzing educational games

5. The facilitation of the educational games

6. Avatars and educational game design tools

7. Designing educational games: board games

8. Designing educational games: role-playing games

9. Learning analytics and games

10. Presentation of the games

The learning will be assessed based on two factors: facilitation session and prepared game. All students will be asked to facilitate one game together with other 2-3 people. Moreover, within the course duration, students will prepare their games in groups or individually.
