Learning outcomes

On course completion the student can

- Apply social scientific perspectives and concepts to those sustainability topics that are addressed in the course

- Analyze and distinguish the suitability of various social scientific concepts and theoretical frameworks to the examination of sustainability related phenomena

- Assess the societal impacts of environmental actions

- Compare various research traditions regarding their contribution to the understanding of environmental issues and propose useful perspectives to the examination of sustainability and sustainable development related questions
