KEMS5370 Chromatographic Methods (3 cr)
Description
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student understands the basic concepts related to chromatography and knows the main operating principles of the most common chromatography methods. The student is familiar with the principles of chromatographic method development and knows how to choose a chromatographic method suitable for his preparative or analytical problem. The student knows how to take sustainability-related principles into account when choosing a method. The student knows methods related to quantitative analysis. The student is familiar with the main applications of chromatography, e.g. in ecology, environmental analytics and circular economy.
Working life skills
Student masters planning of his/her own work, tasks and scheduling. Student is able to apply and combine learned content in different context. Student can give verbal and written answers in questions and justify answers clearly. Student is able to discuss about chromatography in English.
Additional information
The course is lectured in academic years 2025-2026 and 2027-2028. The course can be completed as self-study in academic years 2024-2025 and 2026-2027.
