KEMA2500 Research Project of Intermediate Studies (3–6 cr)
Description
The Research Project of Intermediate Studies can be linked to the Bachelor's thesis. The topics are based on subject-level teaching and research at the department and the work is done either in a research group or in a small group. The research project solves the research topic in a laboratory or computational way and the results can be reported in connection with the Bachelor's thesis. The duration of the work is two (3 ECTS) to four (6 ECTS) weeks.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student understands the key steps in conducting experimental/computational research: setting a research question, conducting a literature search and literature analysis, choosing experimental methods for a research topic, conducting experimental/computational research and interpreting and analyzing the results, reporting, reflecting and concluding. The student is able to use the necessary measurement techniques in a controlled way to solve the research question.
