Description

This is a doctoral-level introduction to doing empirical research in the business disciplines hosted by JSBE. The course is lectured by faculty from different disciplines at JSBE, who present their own views on how to contribute to science by designing empirical research.

  • Understand various perspectives to doing empirical research in business disciplines.
  • Understand the role of theory and what counts as a theoretical contribution in business research.
  • Understand the basics of qualitative research in business research.
  • Understand the basics of quantitative research in business research.
  • Have a basic understanding of research ethics and research reporting practices.
