IHMJ2203 Advanced Course using Structural Equation Modeling (Mplus) (2 cr)
Description
The advanced course in structural equation modelling includes modelling and training regression models, confirmatory factor models, and latent growth curve models for multiple independent groups, analysing these models in hierarchical data, and searching for hidden groups in their data (mixture modelling).
Completion mode: Independent and / or assisted learning and verification of learning from exercise results.
Learning outcomes
The Advanced Course in Structural Equation Model opens up opportunities for students to analyze complex research questions. After completing the course, the student will be able to implement a regression model, a confirmatory factor model and a latent growth curve model by comparing results across multiple independent groups and analysing these models in hierarchical data and further extending the variable-centred model to more person-centred modelling. After completing the course, the student has the basics to develop statistical modelling of his / her data according to the requirements of his / her own research questions for constructing, testing and interpreting statistical models that require special skills.
Study materials
Video lecture (Moodle) of person centred modelling (mixture modelling). Online lectures.
