Description

The course provides students with an understanding of the management of innovation and technology-based organizations. More specifically, the course covers different perspectives to technological evolution and change, innovation management, new product development, and the impact that technological change has on organizations.

Learning outcomes

The aim of this course is to offer insights and frameworks to analyze and understand such issues as
  • how technologies evolve
  • how technological change affects industry structure
  • how ideas for innovation are developed
  • how new products are developed, and
  • how robotics and artificial intelligence may affect the future of firms.

After the course, students are able to
  • analyze technologies and their future potential
  • justify suitable strategies in relation to the technological evolution of a field, and
  • discuss and evaluate different processes and systems to develop new ideas and innovations.
