Description

This course introduces the students to the basic concepts and phenomena of international business. It concentrates on central theories of international business, the role of institutional environments, foreign operation modes, and responsible practices.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of the course, students will:

  • be able to describe the central developments of global economy
  • be able to describe, compare, criticize how and why companies do international business
  • be able to describe, and compare how and why the business environments in different countries are different and how they affect the actions of companies
  • be able to explain why a particular theory of the syllabus is vital for understanding international business and apply the theory to a concrete case problem
  • be able to hypothesize about recent developments and trends that may change the nature and extent of international business
