HYTJ9000 Dissertation (0 cr)

The doctoral dissertation must be based on independent research and constitute a unified scientific study in the doctoral student’s field of research. For more information on dissertation requirements, see separate guidelines.

• is familiar with the different stages of the research process and knows how to work appropriately in them
• can plan and carry out research on a topic of their choice in a coherent, responsible and ethical manner
• is familiar with research relevant to their research topic and is able to relate their own research problem and the results of their research to it
• has a command of the theories and methods relevant to the topic
• can clearly argue and present the results of their research and assess their significance
• is able to apply what they have learned and create new scientific knowledge

Language(s): Finnish, Swedish, English, French, German or Russian, or another language approved by the faculty.
