HYTJ3102 Interaction Competence, Presentation Skills and Media Skills II (1–10 cr)
Description
Familiarisation with the different styles and content of communication, as well as technical possibilities and applications. Interaction skills in different contexts.

Modes of completion: The mode of completion may be (1) courses or other equivalent studies at the level of doctoral studies or advanced studies, or courses or equivalent directed to doctoral students, (2) expert speeches in media, (3) conference presentations, papers or posters, 4) public presentations on one’s research topic, (5) different media texts, communication strategies, communication plans or equivalent, or (6) tasks in a research project or in organising a conference or corresponding event, provided that these include communication responsibilities. For conference participation, a pass requires participating in the conference and presenting your research through a presentation, paper or poster. You can earn credits for conferences as follows: 1 ECTS credit for a national conference and 2 ECTS credits for an international conference. In mode of completion 1, the course is applied for and submitted with its original code. In modes 2–6, the final assignment may consist of more than one type of modes of completion and the assignment is recorded under the faculty code starting with HYTJ310-, e.g. HYTJ3101.
Assessment criteria: Assignments are assessed on the basis of how the doctoral student masters the contents of the study unit and achieves the learning outcomes of the study unit. A pass requires that the assignments are completed successfully. If there is contact teaching included, active participation in the class and successful completion of any other assignments indicated in the teaching is also required.
