After completing the course the student will be able to
- design and conduct small-scale scientific research

- present thesis competently orally and by poster presentation

Syventävien opintojen tutkielman voi suorittaa itsenäisesti tai parityönä. Kahden opiskelijan yhteisessä työssä tai tutkimusprojektissa on pystyttävä osoittamaan kunkin opiskelijan työn osuus, niin että osuudet ovat itsenäisesti arvioitavissa.
Syventävien opintojen tutkielmat ovat julkisia opinnäytteitä ja ne tallennetaan JYX-julkaisuarkistoon.

Evaluation criteria:
The successful completion of a Master's thesis requires the student to be able to independently produce a comprehensive scientific written report on the research topic in accordance with the thesis writing guidelines of the department. The assessment will focus on the consistency and coherence of the text, the use of literature, the degree and writing of the thesis, the author's independence and timeliness, and the subject-specific assessment.
