Description
With the help of three books, this course introduces key approaches to critical discourse studies: (a) classical Critical Discourse Analysis, (b) research in language, gender and sexuality, and c) Multimodal Discourse Analysis.
Learning outcomes
After this course, the students will be able to:
- understand and explain key concepts, theory, methods and practice in the field of critical discourse studies
- understand and explain multimodality in discourse
- understand and explain connections between language, gender and sexuality.
