Description

The course involves the collection of a predetermined number of scientifically recorded invertebrate samples. The collection will be focused on one or more agreed groups of animals or a specific habitat. The content of the collection and the further use of the specimens will be agreed in advance with the responsible supervisor of the course.


Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student will be able to

- collect, label and prepare scientific vertebrate samples.

- identify specimens of a target animal group to species or genus level.

- describe the main structural features, diversity, biology and ecology of the target animal group.

- describe and explain the diversity of the group of animals studied.

Description of prerequisites

Basic level courses on invertebrate species identification.

Method 1

Description:
During the course, an agreed number of scientifically recorded invertebrate samples will be collected and identified to species level.
Evaluation criteria:
Presentation of a scientifically recorded and identified invertebrate collection to the responsible teacher.
