Description
Students will learn protein production and purification as well as characterization methods of biomolecules both in theory and practice. Also the analysis of measured data will be learn.
Learning outcomes
After completing this course, the student
- understands in theory and practice the basic principles of the production and purification of proteins.
- can utilize several physico-chemical methods to characterize biomolecules.
- is able to interpret measured data and is capable to choose a suitable method for a particular characterization need for a biomolecule.
Description of prerequisites
Bachelor studies of biology or similar studies. Courses BENS5115 and CMBS1103 are recommended.
