Description

The course offers the students the chance to participate in a project in groups and work with an organisation.

During the course, the student will learn about principles of project management, are able to apply sustainability knowledge on a project topic, and improve skills in environmental / sustainability project planning, implementation and reporting.

Connection of Course Contents to UN Sustainable Development Goals

Project Work course primarily supports SDGs 4 and 13. It further deepens the student’s understanding on selected Sustainable Development Goals, depending on the specific sustainability challenges of the target organization.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • plan and implement an environmental development project for an organisation
  • work as a member of a project group
  • produce a project plan and report, and present them

Completion methods

Method 1

Description:
Active participation during the lectures and project work. Compulsory attendance in the first lecture. Second and third lectures are group presentations, each group needs to be represented during the presentations.
Evaluation criteria:
In project groups, students will prepare a project plan (10%) and final project report (80%). In addition, feedback from the project organisation will have an impact on the grade (10%).
