Description
Work training abroad acquaints students with research or planning work in the fields of biological and environmental science outside Finland. International training allows students to develop their understanding of the working life of those with the Master of Science degree in these fields. Depending of the training site, the training allows students to apply and integrate their knowledge and skills acquired during their studies. The site of training must be agreed in advance by the teacher responsible for the course. A training plan is prepared by the student in advance and a training report must be submitted at the end of the work placement.

- has learned how to act as a motivated, committed and responsible member of the working community
- knows the essential rights and obligations of the employee and knows the job search process
- is able to plan and report their work

Additional information
5 ECTS are accepted for advanced studies. Can be substituted by course BENS5040. A maximum of 20 credits of work training in Finland or 25 credits of work training abroad may be counted towards the degree.
