The main research areas and their theories in evolutionary biology, including adaptations, natural selection, sexual selection, evolution of social behavior, evolution of life-histories, evolutionary medicine, speciation, origin of life and human evolution.

Learning diary and exercises (50%) + exam (50%)

After completing the course, the student:
- knows the main theories in evolutionary biology
- knows the main concepts in evolutionary biology
- knows how these theories have been tested in different research areas in evolutionary biology
