Course description


The course focuses on providing students with opportunities to work in multilingual teams towards a common goal. Through independent and groupwork the students will further develop their confidence in and understanding of interacting in multilingual teams and comprehend the fundamentals of project management. The course also aims to advance students’ readiness to use and further develop various language resources.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of this module, students are expected to be able to


· develop their confidence to interact in a multilingual context.

· recognize and articulate their own expertise in order to work as a part of an effective multilingual team.

· make use of the groups’ full multilingual repertoire in the research process.

· collect and utilize feedback to develop their decision making, problem solving and argumentation skills.

· understand the fundamental elements of project management, including time management, self-motivation, and group communication

The course requires participation in contact teaching. Teaching methods may include lectures, workshops, student presentations, project work, group discussions, individual or small group tutorials and feedback sessions, etc. Collaborative and individual work is required.
