TJTS5605 IS2: Digital Service Transformation (JSS32) (3 cr)
Description
This two-week intensive course focuses on digital service transformation. The course provides theoretical background on the digitalization of services and digital transformation. Furthermore, we identify the digitalization objectives for companies and organizations and, on this basis, study the process of service conceptualization and digital transformation planning. By exploiting theoretical concepts and models in service design based on the company's digitalization objectives.
Course participants will acquire theoretical knowledge on managing the digitalization of services and digital transformation, critical analysis of the current situation of the company and identification of digitalization objectives, and use of theoretical models to support the digital transformation of the company.
Learning outcomes
- After the course students will have good knowledge and understanding of the selected topical digital service management and transformation research area.
- Students are able to acquire knowledge and read critically relevant research articles in some of the leading academic journals and/or conference proceedings.
- Students are able to apply the selected conceptual tools, models and/or methods for digital service transformation.
Description of prerequisites
This course assumes that you have completed your bachelor’s studies and you are currently doing your master’s or doctoral studies. Preferably you have already done some courses in the area of digital services, but this is not a mandatory requirement.
