Historical and current perspectives of sport.
Description
The domain of modern sport from the historical and current perspectives, the relationship between sport, culture and society from public, private and voluntary sectors point of view. Examples and cases will be presented by experts from various areas and organizations in Finland and elsewhere.
Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this course, student is able to:
· identify how sport is organized globally
· understand the significance of sport in Finnish society and elsewhere
· identify the different logic of activities in the public, private and voluntary sectors of sport
