Description

During the seminar students will introduce their M.Sc.-thesis projects by general discussion about the projects, and finally at the end of the semester giving a presentation about the results of the thesis project. During the course some scientific publications and M.Sc. theses are examined and various writing styles are practiced. To improve students’ oral presentation skills good practices and tips will be discussed. The students will make observations in scientific seminars organized at each department and in particular seminars related to nanoscience. In the seminar meetings position of nanosience in academia and in society will also be discussed, and various career options are presented.

Learning outcomes

After the course the student has a comprehension about utilisation of nanoscience in academia and society. He/She understands the scientific integrity and is capable to pervasively utilise his/her knowhow in natural sciences.
