MUSS2070 Master's thesis (30 cr)

After completing the course, students will be able to:

- narrow down their research topic and connect it to the field in a relevant way, and formulate relevant research questions or goals of the work

- independently acquire information about their research topic, and both make use of and critically evaluate previous work in the field

- define the key concepts of the chosen research topic and apply them in their research

- select, narrow down, and collect material suitable for their research task

- apply their chosen research method in solving research questions or achieving the goals of the work, and understand its strengths and weaknesses

- present their results in a structured way, relate them to their theoretical framework, and critically evaluate them

- promote and follow the principles of scientific writing

- manage work processes

- follow ethical principles of research in all its phases
