Elementary number theory: divisibility, prime numbers, number systems, congruence relation.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student
- can examine the divisibility of integers
- knows the basics of the prime numbers
- can use congruence in observing divisibility
- can start observing a simple new problem in number theory without an example
- know that an essential part of mathematics is research, making conjectures, and proving
