Description

CONTENT

In this module, students will familiarize themselves with scientific literature in their area(s) of interest, with an aim to identifying a research topic for the thesis. This will involve instruction on the phases of conducting research, and on methods for identifying, organizing and summarizing extant literature. This course is integrated with the course Integrated Research Communication.

Independent reading, Seminars and group discussions (10 hours), assignments

Modes of Completion

Active participation in the seminars and adequate completion of assignments.

Learning outcomes

OOn successful completion of this course, student is able to:

  • Obtain an overview of the scientific literature in an area of their choosing

  • Select a topic of interest for their thesis

  • List potential research questions
