Learning outcomes

After completing the course the student
  • is able to describe basic concepts and indicators related to the prevalence and risk factors of diseases
  • is able to define the key study designs of epidemiological research
  • is able to analyze the relationships between risk factors and their consequences
  • is able to calculate basic risk ratios and to interpret them in studies
  • recognizes the main sources of error in epidemiological research
