Description

The course focuses on the basics of gender history and the importance of gender in history.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course, the student will:

  • be able to identify key aspects of gender history and be familiar with the research tradition of the field
  • know how to ask in what situations gender has significance
  • understand that gender can relate to many other distinctions and intersects with a number of research topics and periods
  • be able to look at historical research sources from the perspective of gender
  • have honed their skills in analysing information and critical thinking.
