Learning outcomes

After this course the student recognizes the basic principles and fields of applications of the Emotion-Focused Psychotherapy, recognizes the role of emotions in a psychotherapeutic process, knows how to use working with emotions in psychotherapy, and knows the basics of how to use two therapeutic tasks (unfolding and focusing). This entails:

  • To master the main principles of EFT, and to know the main therapeutic tasks
  • To be able to detect the main markers of emotional processing difficulties in EFT
  • To be able to empathically explore personal issues
  • To master the key steps of Focusing and Systematic Evocative Unfolding.
