Description

During the course the students will learn the basics of invasive and non-invasive techniques of imaging brain activity. Main focus will be on human EEG and MEG recording techniques.

Learning outcomes

After completing the course students are able to understand benefits and pitfalls of different tools measuring brain activity, topics where they can be applied and ethical issues involved.

Description of prerequisites

CIBA110 Anatomy and physiology of the central and autonomic nervous system or corresponding knowledge.

Evaluation criteria:
Participation in teaching and take-away exam. After the lectures, the students are given a set of questions to which they have two weeks time to answers. Assessment on scale 1–5.
