OKLM3100 Teaching practice for International Students (5 cr)

· getting acquainted with the Finnish school system

· getting acquainted with the Finnish teaching practice

· getting acquainted with the Teacher Training School

· observation of lessons

· observation tasks

· participation in school work

· teaching practice report 

Learning outcomes:

· to get acquainted with the Finnish system of education in general

· to get acquainted with Finnish teacher education and teaching practice

· to get an insight of a Finnish primary school

· to make known one’s own culture

· participation in school work consists of e.g.

-following the appointed class for at least a week

- observing also some subject classes

- teaching/helping the teacher and/or a Finnish student

- giving a presentation about your country in class at an appropriate level

- running at least one session of the international club
