Description

During the course some scientific publications and M.Sc. theses are examined and various writing styles are practiced. These styles can be utilized when writing a master's thesis. To improve students’ oral presentation skills good practices and tips will be discussed. The students will make observations in scientific seminars organized at each department and in particular seminars related to nanoscience. In the seminar meetings position of nanosience in academia and in society will also be discussed, and various career options are presented. 

Learning outcomes

After the course the student has a comprehension about utilisation of nanoscience in academia and society. He/She understands the scientific integrity and is capable to pervasively utilise his/her knowhow in natural sciences. He/She can present scientific and technical material in a clear and condensed way in writing and by oral communication.

Description of prerequisites

Bachelor in nanosciences or similar studies.

The material will be distributed during the course. The students will participate to the learning material production.
