Upon completion of the course, the student is able to:
- understand special considerations in pediatric exercise physiology
- describe organ system adaptations during aging and understand their importance for functional capacity
- explain the effect of exercise on physical performance during aging
- describe special considerations in health of the aging adult
- understand musculoskeletal injury/illness and their prevention
- describe cardiometabolic diseases and their prevention
- critically read topic-specific literature
- apply their learning to practice in various relevant fields
