Content:
The course includes basic principles of applying quantitative methods to data collection, description and summary of data (summary statistics), as well as statistical estimation and testing (e.g. confidence intervals, t-test varieties, Analysis of Variance, correlation, non-parametric equivalent tests etc.). The course also includes basics of qualitative research (e.g. questionnaire validity and reliability).
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, the student is able to:
- recognize and describe basic quantitative research methods
- analyze, interpret and report results fulfilling the basic requirements needed for successful completion of the Master’s thesis
