To get acquainted with key literature in the field of Biology of Physical Activity and to critically evaluate scientific research.
Description
Content
Content is flexible but can include topics such as neuromuscular and cardiorespiratory function, different training modalities, and technique analysis of human movement.
Students also learn about relevant concepts such as systematic reviews and meta-analyses, as well as the process involved in publication of a scientific manuscript.
Completion methods
Seminar 24 hours.
Students give group and individual presentations.
Assessment details
Students are given a grade from 0-5, based on their individual and group presentations.
Learning outcomes
To get acquainted with key literature in the field of Biology of Physical Activity and to critically evaluate scientific research. After completing the course a student is able to:
• clearly and concisely summarize scientific research reports verbally and in writing
• make an oral presentation about scientific theory, methods and results
