Tweet text

Due to the renovation, the course schedule may change during the years 2020-2023.

Description

The laboratory experiments comprise organic synthesis according to instructions. The student gets acquainted with the most common organic chemistry practices and analysis methods (spectroscopic and chromatographic).

Learning outcomes

Introduction to Organic Chemistry Laboratory course will give information how to work safely in laboratory of organic chemistry. At the practical laboratory experiments the student will learn how to use basic instruments of the organic chemistry. The aim of the course is to combine the theory and practice of the organic chemistry.

Working life skills

  • project management skills: planning of work stages, responsibility for one's own work
  • safe laboratory working
  • basics in synthetic chemistry
  • analysis and reporting of results

Additional information

Kaikkien harjoitustöiden opintopisteissä on huomioitu töihin liittyvät ennakkovalmistelut (työohjeeseen tutustuminen ja töihin liittyvät kirjallisuushaut), käytännön työskentely laboratoriossa sekä työselostuksen kirjoittaminen.
