Description
- EDTA titrations,
- electrochemistry,
- electrodes and potentiometry,
- redox titrations,
- electrolysis,
- sampling,
- sample treatment
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student can
- calculate EDTA and redox titration curves
- explain and recall the behavior of galvanic element and electrolysis cell
- use Nernst equation for electrochemical cells to calculate eq. half-reaction potentials or stability constants of the reactions
- indicate the indicator and reference electrodes and give description of their functionality.
Working life skils
- evaluate the importance of sampling and sample treatment on the obtained analytical results
- apply the analytical methods treated in the course in laboratory exercises and future work
- evaluate the suitability of selected analytical method in analysis of different sample matrices.
