- BLAST searches & interpreting results
- DNA and protein sequence alignment
- protein visualization and evaluation of differences created by sequence variation
- Project and scientific report
- critical assessment of results
Learning outcomes
The student will be familiar with basic bioinformatic methods and understand how to use databases to retrieve, analyze and interpret data at DNA- RNA- and protein levels. The student is able to explain how information is transferred from genes to proteins. The student is able to write good scientific report and use bioinformatic methods to answer research questions working independently and in groups.
