Description

This short course explains the motivation of different database models, globally known as NoSQL databases, that diverge from the well-established relational model, explaining the basics, pros and contras of these other models, and also provides an initial insight of these technologies through a series of practical exercises.

Programming skills, Java or databases (for example, ITKP102 Programming 1 or ITKA2004 Databases and data management. Further recommended pre-requisites are TIEP111 Programming 2 and TIEP116 Java and Databases).
