Concept of esports
Description
Concept of esports; history, present and future of esports; esports leadership, organization and teams; management and leadership in a digitalizing environment; economic and business perspective to esports; competition, career, well-being and responsibility in esports.
This course supports the UN Sustainable Development Goal 8 Decent work and economic growth. Also, issues related to the SDG 5 Gender Equality are discussed.
Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
- recognize esports as a field of management and leadership
- understand the economic and business significance of esports
- understand leadership and leadership as well as organization in a digitalizing environment and especially in the context of esports
- identify career, well-being, and responsibility perspectives in esports
