Description
The course consists of several separate modules that familiarize the student with the department. These include thesis defenses, seminars, interviews, literature exercises, and assignments based on these.

The student
- gets acquainted with the mathematical research and its significance in the university,
- can name and describe a few areas of research, and
- can tell about the studies and work of a researcher.
