Learning outcomes

The course "Constructive Intercultural Management” provides students with theoretical frameworks and practical tools to analyze, assess and design intercultural encounters in organizations constructively. It considers cultural diversity and differences as assets that can be handled positively – when managed well. Therefore, the first part of the course will give students an overview of theoretical and methodological concepts and models that help to understand and frame cultural differences and their complementary potential. In the second part, students work in groups on own cases of organizations and link the before-learned concepts to practical examples. A synthesis of the cases at the end will summarize the major learnings and direct students for further intercultural competence development.
