Content
The course covers the development of the research process and the relationship between the various stages and the whole. Students are also introduced to the methods and materials used in culture research.
Completion methods
Taught course. Independent work on written assignments is possible in special cases.
Assessment criteria
80% participation in teaching and written assignments or lecture exam. Independent work on written assignments or book exam.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will:
- recognise the different stages of the research process
- know how the research questions, theoretical framework, materials and methods relate to each other and fit into the research process
- be familiar with a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods and research materials
- know what research ethics are and recognise the ethical questions involved in the research process and
- know the basics of information retrieval.
