The course focuses on interesting research issues related to the relationship between belief and culture.
Completion methods
Taught course or independent work (book exam, reading group or assignment).
Assessment criteria
80% participation in teaching and written assignments or lecture exam. Completion by independent study – essay or book exam.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will:
- be familiar with the main conceptual and theoretical bases for researching belief
- recognise the importance of mentalities and world views as fundamental cultural phenomena and
- understand the relationships between different beliefs, cultures and societies and know how these have been researched.
